We are always buying new stamps and stamp collections of all sizes, and we want your stamps too! If you are no longer interested in a particular area, are fed up with Australia Post's mountain of new issues, or simply want to turn your collection into hard cash, please consider us first. We offer free, no obligation quotes on all collections brought to our office for evaluation. In fact we buy nearly all of our stock directly from collectors which allows us to keep our prices as low as possible. And for many collectors, they can actually get a higher return selling this way than at an auction.

Auction commissions and sale agreements can result in the seller getting less for their stamps. For example, if we were willing to pay $1000 directly to the owner for a particular collection, we would only bid $900 for it at an auction. That is because we would be charged at least 10% commission on our bid. Then from that $900 is deducted whatever fees and charges the auction house has deemed, which means you could get only $800 (or even less) in the hand. Another consideration is the time between placing an item up for auction and actually receiving the money can be up to several months. Auctions certainly have their place but are best suited for rare or obscure items, where the market price is uncertain. However for the vast majority of collections, you should consider direct sale to a dealer because you may get more. And we will pay you on the spot!

We strongly recommend that you make an appointment if you wish to get a valuation of your collection. This is not necessary, but it will ensure that the appropriate person is available to value your stamps. Of course if you do drop by and the right person is free we will value it immediately, but priority will be given to those with an appointment. Simply contact us to arrange a time that suits. Home visits are available in certain circumstances, but we do have to charge a nominal fee for time out of the office (of course this fee is refunded if we buy your stamps). However we prefer you to bring it to us, and we can meet you at your car or the train station to help move your stamps in and out of the office if they are bulky.
