Send an envelope! …. (please)

Funny heading for an advertisement however I am sure you are used to them by now. My motive for the ‘envelope’ is quite simple, as we are finally working on the "interesting and inexpensive material", which simply costs too much to advertise in this magazine. We will be posting out to those interested a complete new listing which includes the material we advertise on the internet (for those who are computerless) and loads of other items currently available. What we will be offering is stamps from all sorts of countries at a set price, however if you like/want/need any item on the list and in your honest opinion the item is not up to my usual discounted rate, please talk to Damien or myself…. simply because we want your business and we want to get it right! If you choose to send half a dozen self-addressed envelopes (largish if possible) we will be delighted to send the next few lists to you. Interested? Thought you might be! You might have noticed there are no pictures this issue. That’s because of the crazy technical problems at Stamp News last month. We will illustrate again next time, but it does mean we can show you more stamps today!

44. Canada collection lovely used collection from 1859-1970 in two volumes. Hand-written pages with mounts house a comprehensive collection of Canadian stamps from the earliest issues to 1970. While not 100% complete it is pretty close, and for example it does have: a complete simplified set of the 1859 series, including two 1c, four 5c in different shades and a couple of 12½c; a dozen of the 1868-90 issues, mostly lower values with some shades; dozens of examples of the smaller 1870-97 issues including examples of every value from ½c to 10c in various shades; 1893 20c and 50c VFU (£66); 10c 1897 Jubilee VFU (£42); 1898-1902 set complete except for one of the 10c shades (£122); 1903-12 King Edward VII set to 20c; 1908 Quebec Tercentenary set complete (although the 10c is thinned, the 15c and 20c are good); simplified set of 1911-22 KGV definitives plus extra shades and coil stamps; 1922-31 KGV definitives complete; 1928-29 set complete fine used except for the 4d; 1927 Confederation set complete 1930-31 KGV definitives complete (£60); 1930 5c Airmail CTO (£18); 1932 Ottawa Conference set; 1932-33 KGV definitives including coils; from this point nearly every definitive and commemorative stamp is present with only a couple sporting thins or other minor flaws, and extras such as coil and booklet stamps are well represented too.
